How to Use This Tool

 

This tool is incredibly easy to use, as you simply select each one of the charges, beginning with the first charge (expand once clicked), once the charge has been selected - click through each of the subsequent elements that are displayed below that charge and respond accordingly. The basics of using this are as follows:


1. Select a Charge: Click on a charge from the list provided to begin evaluating its elements.


2. You Will Then Evaluate Each Element - For Each Charge:  For each element of the charge, check if it has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt. First you will select an option from the drop-down list under "Facts you feel establish this". Once you select an option, a new text field will populate where you will enter your

reasoning by providing facts that support

that determination (and address any contradictory facts).


3. Provide Explanation: For each fact that you believe establishes an element, provide a brief explanation as to how those facts you listed establish that very element of the charge.


4. Reconcile Facts: For elements with contradictory facts, explain how you reconcile these discrepancies.


5. Reach A Verdict: After evaluating all elements for a charge, use the "Guilty" or "Not Guilty" button to render your verdict for that charge. Your decision for each individual charge will be highlighted in either orange for "Guilty" or green for "Not Guilty".
